The questions what are you or who are you seem to be same to me.

what and where are you?

To answer these questions, one has to define the frame of reference, first.

In the vast realm of unknown, I do not know who I am or where I am. But as the reference is narrowed one can answer the questions.

I am a denizen of planet earth and I am on earth. In terms of community of nations, I am an Indian.

With reference to my family and people I had touched in life: I am a son to my parents and brother to my siblings. A colleague to my co workers and a pupil to my teachers. I am different things to different people.

In absolute terms my quest to know who I am may not be understood by any one other than me. Who I am is beyond comprehension of any one but me. I am what I am, because of the life I have lived, experiences I had and everything unique to me. So to define who I am for benefit of others is meaningless.

As for where are you? I am in in my office. yet I am also in Worli, in Mumbai and in India. I am in the year 2009 of Christ, in terms of Gregorian calendar. It may be something else for Saka calender.

In the vast realm of unknown I do not know where I am.

I polite request to the person asking the question is to reflect some more and explicitly define the frame of reference to his question.

Hello,
SP has answered ur questions with another set of equally intriguing questions.
SP has rightly observed that there is no point in asking questions that can be interpreted in so many different ways.
The questions do need to narrow the thoughts in one particular direction to get the right answer otherwise the debate, if any, will be heavily in favor of the questioner.
Do you agree or do you have an answer for it?
Best wishes,
Manoj
